Nach dem Feld (After the Field) is a two-part series that explores the  traces and weight of influences that accumulate around us, often  without  our full awareness or control.

 The sculptures are composed of body fragments made from steel wire,  based  on parts of my own body. Using industrial electromagnets, these  fragments  are magnetized and then embedded in transparent epoxy  resin.

 During the production process, the steel-wire body fragments are  placed  inside silicone molds. Once the electromagnets are activated,  liquid epoxy  resin is added and iron powder is introduced into the  material. The  magnetized steel wire attracts the iron particles,  creating a movement  within the liquid resin. As the resin hardens, this  movement is preserved  within the material, capturing the invisible  structure of the magnetic field.  After curing, the three-dimensional  form of the magnetic field becomes  visible.

 In this work, the magnet serves as a metaphor for the process of  attraction  and holding. Whatever accumulates leaves a trace and  creates weight. The  transparent sculptures make this condition  visible.
